An American Company is seeking a Cobol Analyst (JCL, VSAM, DB2) in Alpharetta, GA. or Omaha, NE.

Role Description

A Programmer Analyst consults with users, to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications. Designs and develops computer systems or programs, including prototypes, based on user defined requirements. Writes code, programs, tests, and analyzes new application software. May formulates management policies for user rights and security. Advise IT management about IT issues within the Company. As an Programmer Analyst on our IT team, you will work on the North Posting Fee Billing Application. You will be interacting with the Application Development teams across the country and overseas. You will interact with Product Managers, Project Managers, GIO (Global Infrastructure Operations) resources and Client/Partner IT resources to collaborate on projects.

COBOL programmer to work on batch applications that support credit card processing. Job duties include the following:

• Consults with users, to determine software or system functional specifications.
• Designs and develops computer systems or programs, based on user defined requirements.
• Writes code, programs, tests, and analyzes new application software.
• Works on moderately complex projects with moderate breadth of responsibility.
• Will handle on-call duties

Skills & Requirements

6+ yrs. of related IT experience. Bachelor's Degree at College of Engineering and Technology or equivalent work experience. We are looking for a candidate that has experience in:

• COBOL
• JCL
• VSAM
• Relational Database (Pref. DB2)
• Experience with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint required, VISIO preferred.
• Candidate should be able to perform duties under limited supervision, applying organizational and analytical skills and have strong communication skills.
