SARSTEDT, a leading manufacturer and distributor of blood collection and medical devices, laboratory consumables and instrumentation, seeks a CNC Machinist on second shift for its US Headquarter.

Summary

Responsible for the safe operation of various manual and CNC machinery, as well as the manufacturing and repair of parts and components to support Sarstedt, Inc. production needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as apparent or required by management.

Hours are 2:30pm to 11:00pm

Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances, sequence of operation, and setup requirements.

Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, grinders, and shapers.

Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.

Observes and verifies machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls as required to ensure quality standards.

Responsible for training apprentices on various machinery and directing their work to meet production goals.

Confers with the Engineering Supervisor or Tool Shop Supervisor to resolve machining or assembly problems.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to six months related experience and/or training.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

The employee is required to stand for extended periods of time.

Other Qualifications

CAD-CAM Programming experience.

Milling, turning, EDM and/or mold making experience.

Ability to read blueprints.
