Cloud Trainer

LexisNexis Risk Solutions is seeking a Cloud Trainer, to design, develop, and deliver Cloud curriculum and technical training. The successful candidate will have a solid engineering background and experience in designing and delivering 'best in class' content. Our teams are collaborative and forward thinking; the successful candidate will help shape the Cloud transformation journey and workforce capabilities through Terraform and Kuebernetes training. This role will be working with the Cloud Centre of Excellence, and highly visible across all the Technology groups.

You will be required to engage, motivate and inspire others by communicating effectively in a virtual environment. In person training sessions will be required on an ad-hoc basis. You will be a key member of our Cloud project team working with a diverse range of Cloud technologies. You will enjoy working in a friendly environment and benefit from our investment in staff.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design and execute Cloud technical training strategy, in line with Cloud transformation project/s, and training budget.
• Develop and maintain state-of-the-art technical training programs to fit to internal work force requirements
• Facilitate requirements gathering meetings with curriculum stakeholders to define the appropriate learning objectives, modalities and expectations. This includes the CCoE (including Developers, Support Engineers, Professional Services, and Solutions Architects) to build technically accurate training that meets the learning objectives.
• Build and design exciting, scalable and highly technical curriculum for Cloud, with extensive hands-on labs, e-learning courses that can be accessed 24x7, and self-paced labs that get LNRS teams deep into technologies.
• Respond to changes in products/features by revising content at the pace of innovation.
• Build relationships with B1 Project Team & CCoE to understand roadmaps and plan for content updates or new training offerings.
• Prepare training schedules, learning objectives and agenda and training materials (including presentations, worksheets) for a virtual and in-person environment.
• Perform training sessions virtually or on-site, in groups or individually
• Dive deep into Cloud technologies, such as Databases, Networking, Architecting, Infrastructure, Machine Learning, Big Data, Web Applications, Security, High Performance Computing, Storage, Enterprise Applications, Migration Strategies or other solutions areas to understand the services and develop effective training for our teams.

• Evaluate overall effectiveness of programs via reporting and analytics

Essential Skills and Attributes:

• 5+ years - Technical (working) experience
  • Working within the public cloud - Azure, AWS or Google and experience in programming, systems architecture or systems administration.
  • Experience designing, developing, and/or delivering technical instructional material
• Domain expertise in one or more of the following: Databases, Networking, Systems Administration, Systems Architecture, Software Development, Cloud Technology
• Advance Cloud skills including Terraform and Kubernetes skills

Desirable Skills:

• Advanced Azure Certifications (i.e. Developer, Security, Administration)

Qualifications:

• 5+ years demonstrated experienced in a technical, IT and training related position.
• BSc Engineering/Computer Science or relevant experience.
