The Clinical Nurse Manager, Critical Care Services is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the departments that fall within Critical Care Services. The Clinical Nurse Manager organizes and directs the work of nursing units and programs, coordinates staff to assure that effective nursing services are provided and quality standards are met using a multidisciplinary team approach to care. The function of the clinical nurse manager is to develop and maintain an environment that supports the professional nurse, nursing students, and staff. The Clinical Nurse Manager holds 24-hour, 7-day responsibility and accountability for unit operations.

This position reports to the Clinical Director, Critical Care Services and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school required
• Masters in Nursing from an accredited school or matriculation required
• Clinical Nurse Leader certification preferred
• Certification in area of focus preferred then required within one year
• Current Massachusetts's licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) required
• Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years current clinical experience required
• Current experience with leadership, education, or nurse teacher development required
• BLS and ACLS required
• Leadership skills and excellent clinical competence, including proficiency in the nursing and improvement processes required
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, team building, collaboration, negotiation, problem solving, as well as oral and written communication skills required
