Role overview

The Clinical Corporate Trainer (CCT) is responsible for conducting Accolade's clinical learning and onboarding and continuing education training; they will seamlessly blend instructor-led training with self-driven learning materials and excellent documentation. The CT will collect data, analyze the impact of learning initiatives, and partner with senior team members to develop viable solutions and program improvements that drive the intended outcomes, productivity and proficiency. The CCT will Adapt curriculum for a variety of audiences, learning delivery methods, and technological needs. This includes collaborating with the instructional design team to identify training needs, produce documentation and training plans, create a wide variety of training materials, self-paced content, and deliver training.

A day in the life...

  • Guides new employees through Accolade onboarding programs, including monitoring employee success to inform process improvement of current programs and new program development, implementation and evaluation.

  • Administers programs that create a positive employee experience, while driving toward more proficiency and productivity of the team.
  • Prepares lesson plans that include the method, media, and documentation to be presented; conducts needs assessment to determine the effectiveness of training programs and modifies delivery as needed.
  • Supports employee's personal growth and improvement throughout the New Hire Learning experience, creating individualized lesson plans, which address areas of deficiency through extra practice.
  • Collaborates with clinical and non-clinical leadership (Managers through Executives) to help assess education needs of the nurses and health assistants.
  • Delivers clinical education to nurses, behavioral health specialists, and clinical leadership during new hire onboarding as well as continuing education.

  • Coaches and inspires Health Assistants to embrace learning in areas outside of their comfort zone, so that they will be successful in their roles.
  • Supports clinical tools (i.e. Healthwise, CE Direct, Lexicomp)
  • Facilitates train-the-trainer sessions to develop future instructors and provides feedback to help them reach competency in delivery in the classroom and/or leadership during new hire development center phase.
  • Coordinates daily classroom set-up and logistics including furniture and equipment (computer, monitors, headset) audio and video projection units. Manage clean-up post event.
  • Executes additional activities and events such as Lunch and Learns, CE sessions, New Hire welcome activities, and class celebrations.

  • Demonstrates Accolade's scope of practice and has a deep understanding of clinical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Manage training schedule, attendance, and updates to curriculum
  • Maintain communication channels with new hires and their managers regarding new hire performance
  • Ensures training curriculums are executed and works to ensure any deviations are well documented

What we are looking for...

  • Bachelor's degree and current registered nursing license in good standing.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in education and learning
  • Previous classroom teaching/instructing, including demonstrated classroom management skills - Lead, engage and command a classroom
  • Ability to prioritize, manage and complete projects with tight deadlines

  • Ability to evaluate priorities and execute tasks accordingly in a changing environment
  • Ability to objectively assess and evaluate performance and employee matters and deliver feedback when needed
  • Possess and applies critical thinking and decision making skills
  • Strong program management skills
  • Skilled in using web conferencing technology, applications include: WebEx, Go To Meeting, Join Me, LYNC, Zoom - Virtual Education Certificate preferred.

  • Proficiency using Microsoft suite - PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Experience using and running reports in Qualtrics.
  • Ability to facilitate training sessions, using adult learning theories, that guide participants toward achieving the desired learning outcomes.
