Interventional Urology - NeoTract is dedicated to developing innovative, minimally invasive and clinically effective devices that address unmet needs in the field of urology. As part of the Teleflex Interventional Urology business unit, NeoTract's focus is on improving the standard of care for patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) using the UroLift® System, a minimally invasive, permanent implant system that treats symptoms while preserving sexual function*1,2. The UroLift System is clinically proven to treat lower urinary tract symptoms due to BPH in men over the age of 45. The UroLift System lifts or holds the enlarged prostate tissue out of the way so it no longer blocks the urethra. There is no cutting, heating or removal of prostate tissue.   • Indicated for the treatment of symptoms of an enlarged prostate up to 100cc in men 45 years or older. As with any medical procedure, individual results may vary. Most common side effects are temporary and include pain or burning with urination, blood in the urine, pelvic pain, urgent need to urinate and/or the inability to control the urge.1 Rare side effects, including bleeding and infection, may lead to a serious outcome and may require intervention.     Position Summary

    The Clinical Affairs Manager, Interventional Urology develops, manages, and delivers UroLift System professional education to surgeons, OR staff, and sales representatives to achieve exceptional clinical outcomes for patients. As an integral member of the Clinical Affairs team, this position manages, coordinates, and facilitates case coverage, peer-to-peer training, new hire training, new product development training, and other training activities.

    Principal Responsibilities

    Case Coverage

    • Develop, manage, and cover initial cases, including transitioning cases from OR/ASC to office.
    • Manage territory case coverage for new starts, customers in UroLift Proficiency Pathway (UPP), or restarts
    • Develop and manage supplemental physician case trainings, including New Physician, Advanced Anatomy, Advanced Techniques, and Median Lobe.
    • Partner with UCs to manage and cover regular cases.
    • Partner with RBMs and ASDs on case coverage approvals.

    HCP Education

    • Support customer educational needs assessment and coordinate appropriate learning resources to support adoption and expansion of the safe and effective use of the Urolift device.
    • Manage HCP engagement (dinners, case days, office management), including review and approval of content, format, and attendees.
    • Provide advanced training and technique education for physicians to advance independence.
    • Train physicians on providing median lobe cases.
    • Manage and process invoices for all HCP consultant activities.

    Internal Training

    • Support New Hire and internal sales clinical training, as requested.
    • Set up pre and post field rides to help the on-board process for new hires
    • Manage and follow-up with new hires to ensure attainment of qualifications and achievement of training requirements and ensure job performance is in accordance with training SOPs.

    Residency Program

    • Develop and manage Residency Programs in assigned areas.

    New Product Development

    • Partner with R&D and Marketing on managing and developing new product launches, market acceptance, case data follow-up reports, videos, video consents, and any other Market Acceptance Testing (MAT) data.
    • Participate in cadaver labs, looking at design changes and evaluating future product enhancements.
    • Partner with the Sales team to deliver a touch point for customers that enhance business relationships.

    Other

    • Partner with DocMatter, Marketing, and Clinical Affairs to develop webinar content, and conduct webinars with faculty and team members.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to provide customer a company touch point.
    • Manage and facilitate clinical breakout sessions as needed at meetings.
    • Present Professional Education and Clinical Urolift information.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Education / Experience Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree preferred with a focus in biological, clinical, health sciences, or engineering. Professional license in area of clinical expertise plus equivalent clinical work experience will be considered.
    • A minimum of 4 years' experience providing medical device education and/or clinical practice experience.
    • Experience in the therapeutic area of urology preferred.
    • Experience using video editing, Articulate, SalesForce.com preferred

    Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

    • Must be able to establish and maintain credentials (via RepTrax, Vendormate, etc) to have the ability to enter and work, as required, in hospitals and other medical facilities, as an essential function of the job. Depending on customer/site requirements, vendor credentials may require the employee to obtain COVID-19 vaccinations.
    • Strong interpersonal skill and experience training HCPs in the clinical setting.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required
    • Strong work ethic and ability to operate independently.
    • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
    • Ability to collaborate with a broad range of personalities.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to quickly resolve challenges.
    • Ability to work successfully from a home/remote office.
    • Ability to travel, up to 80%. Overnight travel is required.
