Description
The Chief Mechanical Engineer is a highly organized, technically skilled individual that will design and develop new products, automate design processes, and create/revise detailed technical product information. The Chief Mechanical Engineer represents the company's high ethical standards and presents a professional image in every business interaction.

Key Responsibilities
• Act as Lead Engineer on projects
• Calculate cost and time estimates for proposed work and monitor progress until project completion
• Coordinate schedules with other departments when necessary
• Create complete custom mechanical system designs to meet requirements
• Design valve systems to meet current industry standards and customer requirements
• Develop and maintain an expert level of product knowledge
• Document design-related decisions, meetings and instructions and report accordingly
• Perform ASME VIII calculations for pressure vessels
• Provide engineering and/or technical support to customers
• Research commercially-available equipment to specify equipment needed for projects

• Ability to accurately interpret and present information in a consistent and organized manner
• Ability to function independently and as part of a team in a multi-concurrent project environment
• Ability to positively respond to change and accommodate new methods and procedures
• Ability to understand and execute technical instructions
• Ability to incorporate specific customer requirements into custom designs
• Ability to write and edit business correspondence (emails and letters) and detailed technical documents
• Effective verbal communication skills, both in-person and via the telephone
• Intermediate to Expert Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD (PDM a plus)
• Knowledge of INFOR Visual Manufacturing or similar ERP software
• Possess the organizational skills necessary to meet critical deadlines
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven project management skills. Intermediate Microsoft Project proficiency a plus.
• Minimum 4-Year (Bachelor of Science Degree) in Mechanical Engineering required
• 3-5 years of mechanical design experience, particularly with fabricated mechanical equipment and integration of electrical components. Experience with process, industrial gas and/or cryogenic plants a plus.
• Experience working with process equipment, such as valves and pumps, process instrumentation, and P&I diagrams
• Proficiency with ASME code for pressure vessels (VIII) and piping (B31.3)
• Experience with UL, CSA, and NSF certification
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States of America
