Certified Payroll Clerk-Onsite, Fremont (Construction or related industry preferred)

Our client at this growing company is looking for a Certified Payroll Clerk. You'll be responsible for compiling and recording employee time and payroll data, ensuring accurate and timely processing of certified payroll and compliance documentation. This full-time role demands attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in payroll processing software.

Job Responsibilities:

- Utilize software such as LCP Tracker, Elations, and others to manage certified payroll and labor compliance documents efficiently.

- Process certified payroll weekly, ensuring completeness and accuracy.

- Assist with DIR uploads as per project requirements and timely submission of DAS 140/142 Apprentice documents.

- Coordinate monthly document submissions to project owners and communicate with subcontractors to ensure compliance.

- Prepare status reports for releasing payments to subcontractors.

- Collaborate effectively with internal team members and client liaisons to meet project needs.

Non-Essential Duties:

- Provide training to other employees as needed.

- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Core Competencies:

- Proficient in written and verbal English communication.

- Strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.

- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

- Attention to detail is crucial.

Minimum Education and Experience:

- High School Diploma or GED.

- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing and related activities.

- Familiarity with online payroll reporting systems like LCP Tracker, Elations, or EMARS.

- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.

Preferred Education and Experience:

- Associate's degree in business or a related field.

- 4+ years of experience in payroll processing and associated activities.

Pay: Up to $35 hourly.
