The Stellantis Quality Organization is currently seeking a Certification Line Unit Leader at the Toledo South Assembly Plant. This position offers the selected candidate an opportunity to be an integral part of a company whose focus is to change the automotive landscape. The Certification Line Unit Leader will manage the certification line quality verification stations and is the focal point of contact for all certification line quality issues, ensuring shift to shift consistency, and utilizing the data to drive issues to closure utilizing the World Class Manufacturing methodologies. The Certification Line Unit Leader must be a creative problem solver, proactive and steadfast in the identification and resolution of vehicle quality issues. The selected individual will have experience in managing cross-functionally and possess a broad knowledge of the entire automotive engineering, manufacturing and quality landscape and present outstanding teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills. Moreover, this person must have unquestioned integrity.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE ARE:
  • Supervise certification line quality verification personnel
  • Track and report quality concerns identified, assist in root cause, containment and corrective actions for all quality related issues in the manufacturing facility
  • Train newly and re-assigned personnel
  • Manage time sheet and payroll of all bargaining unit employees
  • Hands-on training and coaching of salary and bargaining unit employees on the World Class Manufacturing methodologies
  • Plan, prioritize, set goals and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment
  • Strong communication skills to support meetings at all levels of the company, including senior leadership
  • Establish partnerships both internally and externally and to influence without direct authority
  • Commitment and dedication in delivering a premier product to the consumer
  • Represent the "Voice of the Customer"
  • Contribute or drive team success by clarifying expectation and minimizing political hurdles
  • Demonstrate unwavering commitment to delivering results and champion achievements
  • Exhibit a willingness to do things differently and consistently translate ideas into actions that deliver results
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a team environment
