Job Summary:
Your position as Cash Receipts Specialist supports this mission by the day-to-day administration of agency Accounts Receivable. This is a non-exempt position.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare/Scan check deposits daily, cash deposits weekly unless cash on hand should exceed $500.00. Assure that all checks are deposited (if scan is unavailable) within 1 business day.
  • Determine correct GL accounts for incoming revenues and post them within 3 business days of deposit
  • Communicate with program and A/R staff to research and resolve revenue coding issues as necessary
  • Reconcile monthly deposits to bank statements
  • Scan deposits ensuring all deposits are available for viewing within 5 days of deposit
  • Ensure that all cash is posted by the 10thof each month
  • Apprise A/R Manager of revenue issues as they arise
  • Assist with collections activities as needed/assigned
  • Reconcile 3rdparty revenue entered into dynamics against Financial Income Statement on a monthly basis
  • Reconcile dynamics accounts on a monthly basis to confirm accurate 3rdparty balances
  • Complete other duties and relevant tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Degree from an accredited school or college with an emphasis in the accounting, finance, or related field; or three years of accounts receivable or related financial management experience may be substituted for degree requirement
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word required
  • Proficiency in accounting software ( or equivalent) required
  • Prior non-profit/human services experience preferred
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Highly developed organizational skills
  • Ability to manage a large volume of information and maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to act as a resource for, provide customer service in a courteous manner to, and work effectively with diverse groups of people at various levels within the organization
  • Ability to process high volume of data entry and perform routine, repetitive tasks accurately
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to meet all monthly closing deadlines
  • Physical capacity to complete bank runs with local neighborhood of
  • Ability move between various Bay Cove locations and when necessary to attend meetings at various locations within and outside of Bay Cove
  • An acceptable CORI (criminal record assessment)
  • A COVID-19 vaccination is a requirement of the position. One COVID-19 shot is acceptable, contingent on the individual receiving the second shot within the allotted time frame.
