We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 60+ labs throughout the country. Our team is growing, and we are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Keller in Fenton, MO for a Full-Time Supervisor for our Digital Design Department.


This is a critical role, as this individual will be responsible for department and laboratory objectives by managing staff; planning and evaluating department activities; as well as, coordinating, and championing technical issues with external customers as well as with laboratory leadership, direct reports and other internal departments. In addition, this individual manages and participates in the computer-aided design/manufacturing process to design and manufacture dental prosthetics.

A minimum of three (3) years of digital design & milling manufacturing experience, with working knowledge of the milling process, sintering, and maintenance of related equipment is required to be considered for this position.

The regular hours for this position are from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Manages and maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training team members; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; and developing personal growth opportunities for team members.
  • Communicates job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising team members; coaching, counseling, and disciplining team members; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Maintains quality service by enforcing quality standards; analyzing and resolving quality problems; identifying trends; recommending system improvements.
  • Work with laboratory leadership to develop and maintain budgets.
  • Answer technician questions involving facets of Digital Manufacturing
  • Monitor Kronos timecards documenting absences due to illness, vacation, tardiness,early clock-outs, etc.
  • Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist.
  • Design dental frameworks/restorations, crowns, implants, and bridges that provide the patient with the proper function and aesthetics.
  • Ensure all production steps are followed, in order, to achieve consistent, accurate results.
  • Implement Computer Assisted Manufacturing at Mallow and Operate CNC machinery to fabricate dental restorations
  • Keep cases organized so that everyone on the milling projects can work as a team.
 

Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Must have computer skills including typing and familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
  • Verbally communicate with all levels of staff, leadership and customers maintaining a positive and professional demeanor
  • Must be familiar with Performance Management processes, Project Management, Coaching, Quality Management, and Developing Standards.
  • Must be a results driven individual.

Minimum Education and Experience Required:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 3 yrs. digital design & milling manufacturing experience; with working knowledge of the milling process, sintering and maintenance of equipment involved.
  • Minimum 3 yrs. of management experience; preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 1 yr. customer service experience, preferred
  • Minimum 3 yrs. dental technician experience, exhibiting competency in area of expertise in order to guide and train others, preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, obtained though experience or recognized through observation.

Physical Requirements:
  • Perform tasks at multiple workstations
  • Standing and sitting for extended periods of time.
