JOB SUMMARY

Provides tactical supply chain support including sourcing, expediting, purchasing, and post order management of goods and services in compliance with company policies and procedures. Reviews and reports various metrics to internal and external customers. Coordinates purchasing requisitions for goods and services. Processes purchase orders and communicates with end-users and suppliers to confirm and track orders.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Manages daily requests for creation of purchase orders for goods and services utilizing preferred suppliers or bidding and evaluation processes, confirms receipt, and changes purchase orders as needed
  • Collaborates with internal customers to ensure purchases meet quality, cost, timeliness and functionality requirements
  • Ensures the expediting of goods and timely delivery
  • Supports the resolution of material discrepancies of goods ordered and account payable exceptions
  • Resolves outstanding orders and provides back-order information and offers alternative sources when possible
  • Manages supplier relationships, including quality and/or service issues, rationalization, and compliance with company requirements through purchase order consistency and cost improvement opportunities
  • Delivers presentations to regional field meetings as a supply chain representative
  • Trains others on supply chain processes across internal and external parties
  • Researches and negotiates routine non-contracted organizational purchases
  • Actively collaborates with Supply Chain Sourcing and Accounts Payable to resolve issues
  • Consistently identifies new supply chain processes or opportunities to improve current processes
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Supply Chain Management or a similar degree field and/or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 2 years related experience is required although employees typically have 3-7 years; oil and gas industry experience preferred
  • Strong negotiation skills and customer service skills
  • Strong understanding of PeopleSoft system and processes
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
SPECIAL DEMANDS
  • This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc. Noise level is typically low. Frequently in a stationary, sitting position for prolonged periods of time. Regularly moves about inside the office to complete tasks, attend meetings or to access the copy machine or file cabinets. Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the office. Occasionally may lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
Salary Range

The Salary Range is $69,900-$111,800.
