Description:
The incumbent success will be measured on the following outcomes and impacts:

• Number of new events created targeting corporations and industry participants and satisfaction with events among attendees and sponsors

• Increases in Society and IEEE membership among practicing engineers relative to the trend prior to the Industry Hub in cases where the consultant has had a documented presence and impact.

• Actionable ideas and business cases for new products and services.

Key Job responsibilities:

• Marketing the IEEE brand by establishing IEEE's role as a thought leader and partner in the advancement of technology

• Building strong relationships with leaders across Silicon Valley tech companies

• Serving as an interface for our corporate clients and prospects in the Silicon Valley area

• Increasing IEEE revenues across a range of products and services through expanding existing services, developing new clients and increasing cross-selling of IEEE services with existing clients

• Bringing feedback from corporations to IEEE to guide innovation and development of new services

• Acting as a central coordination resource across OUs for IEEE activities targeting companies in Silicon Valley

• Supporting volunteers with event strategy, planning and execution targeted to corporations

• The Business Management & Operations Lead will be expected to develop a detailed project plan, in conjunction with the IEEE CMO and other IEEE stakeholders that will:

• Engage with IEEE organizational units, including (but not limited to) societies, region, sections, and chapters, and encourage development of industry events and participation

• Engage companies strategically, across IEEE organizational units, around important technology trends

• Develop live & virtual industry events, local meetups, micro-events, and technology education/training events, as well as support the development of trade shows, that promote IEEE thought leadership

• Provide innovative new product & service ideas based on specific company feedback and industry needs

• The Business Management & Operations Lead will own and execute this plan in the marketplace to meet identified project goals. Consultant's efforts will be supported by the IEEE sales organization, OU leadership, and the IEEE Industry Engagement Committee.
