Intrado's Customer Insight and Business Intelligence Group is seeking a highly quantitative, driven, and user-experience focused BI Engineer to join our team preferably in our Omaha, NE office or for the right candidate, a 100% remote work environment will be considered. This role will support a fast-growing segment within Intrado which is actively transforming to cloud-based technologies. The core focus of this role is responsibility for ensuring fulfillment of Intrado's tag line "Information to Insight." This role requires a combination of technical data skills, business acumen, and the ability to build cross-functional relationships. The ideal candidate will possess:

Additionally, responsibilities include;
  • Understand Key Performance Measures that drive business performance and customer experience
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure accuracy of data pipelines and availability of data to present key performance metrics
  • Develop dashboards in Looker BI platform following established design and UX guidelines
  • Creation and ongoing support of complex LookML data models that will serve as the backbone for customer-focused dashboards allowing for self-service into actionable insights by end users
  • Work collaboratively within the data team to create underlying data structures which ensure high performing, scalable dashboards and data sets
  • Work with Product Managers to gather new analytics requirements
  • Foster a culture of data-driven decision making that focuses on the customer experience
  • Conduct usability feedback sessions to inform on ease of use for created dashboards
  • Lead hands-on training sessions to empower end user's self-serve reporting
  • Provide leadership direction and develop cross-functional relationships to support an active user community supporting a culture of data-based decision making focused on the customer experience
  • Actively participate with other team members in an Agile development environment

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in mathematics, business intelligence, business, or related field required.
  • Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years' experience with business intelligence solutions or in a business analyst role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills which contribute to a strong, collaborative team-oriented environment
  • Strong focus on the end user experience with the ability to create visually pleasing, easily understandable dashboards that drive analytic insight

Technical:
  • Proficient with BI solutions (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Experience with the Looker Platform including dashboards and LookML modeling preferred
  • Proficient with data modeling and understanding of Data Warehousing concepts
  • Experience with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including Big Query preferred
  • Experience with semi-structured JSON data and non-relational databases (ex. Mongo DB) preferred
  • Proficient with SQL (Python is a plus)
