Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.:

  • Knowledge of bookkeeping principles
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with an ERP system and advanced Excel skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions
  • Ability to reconcile budget transactions
  • Ability to prepare financial reports
  • Effective communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of higher education policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of hiring paperwork for student workers
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with Travel Tracks
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with SAP
Job Description:

Responsible for monitoring and administering budgets at the department/office level. Responsible for providing budget change data entry, technical advice and support to department/office account managers.

Job Duties:

  • Process travel requests and reimbursements for all faculty and graduate students
  • Provide balances based on allotted amount for travel
  • Assist the chair and faculty with M&O budget
  • Maintain, record, and monitor departmental budget transactions
  • Reconcile budget and resolve discrepancies
  • Process Department Transfers and Electronic No Purchase Orders
  • Maintain budget information on scholarship accounts
  • Assist with disbursement of funds as directed
  • Assist with internal and external grant management
  • Support faculty account managers with REP research accounts, processing orders, and budget transfers
  • Review purchase orders and invoices
  • Maintain ledgers
  • Process New Hire paperwork for student workers
  • Participate in the hiring and evaluation of student workers
  • Assist in managing the routine operation of the department
  • Format and proofread correspondence and forms
  • Design and prepare spreadsheets to compile data
  • Monitor and/or order inventory supplies
  • Handle all department purchasing
  • Assist in preparing various activities and events
  • Perform other duties as assigned
