Bookkeeper/Accountant

Rockland, MA

30 hours per week(On-site)

Up to $28/hour

Our client, a small family-owned business is seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of bookkeeper/accountant. Flexible hours are available, making this position ideal for those seeking a work-life balance.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain precise financial records, including general ledger entries and reconciliations
• Conduct thorough bank reconciliations to verify transaction accuracy
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable promptly
• Aid in the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Perform regular audits to detect discrepancies or inaccuracies in financial data
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate recording and classification of financial transactions
• Provide assistance during external audits and tax filings
• Stay updated on accounting regulations and industry best practices

Qualifications:

• A degree in Accounting is advantageous
• Demonstrated experience as a Bookkeeper
• Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as Sage Software
• Exceptional analytical abilities for identifying and resolving discrepancies
• Superb attention to detail and organizational skills
• Capability to work independently and meet deadlines
