Job Description

Biochemist Group Leaderresponsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Knowledge of lab scale purification of proteins using AKTA chromatography systems, tangential flow filtration (TFF) systems, Material preparation, inventory, order and quality control, General Analytical techniques including but not limited to plate based absorbance measurements, gel electrophoresis, and HPLC.

• Document experimental results in notebooks and reports

• Support general laboratory operations

• Comply with all company policies and procedures

• Lead team, schedule, and train employees in client environment

• Ensure adherence to highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations

• Ensure coverage and performance

• Foster morale and teamwork

The ideal candidate would possess:

• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience interacting with people from a wide range of skill levels and experience

• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and possess self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

• Demonstrated ability to work as an independent, self-motivated, detail-oriented, result-driven and highly flexible team-player in a fast-paced working environment

• Strong focus on quality, teamwork, and productivity

• Proactive, positive, solution-oriented leadership style with ability to prioritize and coordinate simultaneous projects with varying deadlines

• Strength in employee engagement, morale, and retention

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or other related degree concentration, orequivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)

• At least four years related laboratory experience

• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00p.m.,with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living in a commutable distance toIndianapolis, INare encouraged to apply.
