Summary:
As a Maintenance Superintendent you will play a crucial role in controlling expenses, ensuring compliance with federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements, and interpreting and enforcing company policies. Your responsibilities include determining workforce needs, maintaining accurate records and reports, solving problems effectively, and collaborating with department heads to meet production quality yields and goals. Additionally, you will be responsible for supervising Maintenance supervisors, overseeing designated shift operations, and maintaining high standards in housekeeping, safety, sanitation, and security.
Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience required, preferably in a meat processing facility. Knowledge of OSHA, USDA, and HACCP regulations is essential.
Strong mechanical background a must
Computer Skills: Proficient in standard computer skills. Basic PLC understanding
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good attendance record and no write ups for work performance or Safety issues in the past 12 months.
Travel: Up to 10% supervisory travel may be required.
Special Skills: In-depth knowledge of General Maintenance, OSHA, USDA, HACCP, safety, security, sanitation, quality yields, cost efficiency, Plant equipment experience preferred.
