Job Responsibilities

The faculty member reports directly to the Department Head. The primary responsibilities of the faculty member are to teach courses by providing systematically planned and delivered instructions; to design and develop curriculum; evaluate student performance; and to advise students.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

This position requires a bachelor's degree in aircraft maintenance, or related area OR an associate degree PLUS two (2) years of related work experience. FAA airframe certificate/license and FCC GROL is required. Preference is given to applicants with at least two (2) years of teaching experience in post-secondary education and an NCATT AET certificate

Preferred Qualifications

Comprehensive knowledge and experience in aircraft electronics processes with emphasis given to aircraft electrical systems, aircraft electronic communication and navigation systems, aircraft radar and pulsed systems, electronic circuit testing and troubleshooting, and knowledge of FCC rules and regulations. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are essential. Must be able to function in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology.
