Global Communities is seeking an Associate to join the Grants and Contracts team at the headquarters in downtown Silver Spring, Maryland.

This is a full-time short-term position through 9/30/2022.

Responsibilities

Procurement

  • Assists with processing G&A and donor-funded procurement actions managed out of Headquarters:
    • Prepares procurement documentation, including completing Procurement Summary Memoranda.
    • Obtains quotes from vendors when competition is required.
    • Responds to informal competition questions and inquiries from vendors.
    • Analyzes and compares quotation costs and pricing.
    • Drafts agreements for review and signature using approved templates.
  • Assists with personal effect shipments of expatriates traveling to or from post within organizational guidelines using pre-approved shippers.
  • Assists with procurement training for headquarters and field staff based on organizational policies, procedures and norms.

Consultant Engagement
  • Assists with Consultant Agreements and Amendments.
    • Reviews backup information and maintains records.
    • Ensures agreements and amendments are compliant according to policies and procedures.
    • Drafts and issues amendments to Consultant Agreements.
    • o Liaises with consultants and Global Communities staff to execute amendments and responds to related inquiries.

SharePoint Management
  • Helps to maintain OGC's SharePoint interface, including the Awards Repository, revising templates and adding resource materials.


Support for Digital Initiatives
  • Assists with the design and configuration of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Grants and Contracts interface, including establishing lists of qualified organizations capable providing goods and services.
  • Supports other digital initiatives underway at Global Communities in FY22.

Other :
  • Undertakes all other duties and projects as may be assigned from time to time.


POSITION SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated research and analytical skills.
  • Fluency in English, both oral and written.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Organized and ability to prioritize projects and manage time.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and ability to sit at a computer and operate a keyboard.


Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field or four years of related work experience.
  • Relevant professional experience highly preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • A passion for the mission and values of Global Communities.
  • Must have U.S. work authorization.
