About our Team

Our team is responsible for our product, Digital Commons Data. This platform enables institutions to more easily collaborate and share data in their research processes. About the Role
In this role, you will support our academic institutions through the onboarding process. You will be responsible for ongoing consulting and training to maximize usage and benefits of products. This role will support customers across the US and internationally. YOU must be willing to travel to conferences and onsite training when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming new clients aboard, and guide/assisting them with building Digital Commons repositories and publications to their specifications
  • Collaborating with university faculty and librarians to launch new projects in their repositories. You will guide them in best practices in publishing, and troubleshoot unusual problems
  • Forging professional relationships with our clients and providing timely advice on issues affecting digital libraries and academic publishing
  • Training clients (usually remotely) to help them use and customize our templated systems
  • Provide general assistance to the team as needed. This includes, filing feature requests, product testing, HTML/CSS editing, and uploading content.

Requirements
  • Have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrate familiarity with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and basic CSS/HTML.
  • Be experienced in a customer-facing role
  • Show familiarity with XML and working with APIs
  • Display knowledge of academic publishing, library sciences, and university culture.
  • Location: US. Remote OK.
