Position Description:

The College of Charleston invites applications for two Electrical Engineering (http://engineering.cofc.edu) tenure-track faculty positions at the assistant professor level to begin in Fall 2023. The successful applicant will be in the unique and exciting position of growing this innovative new program with a focus on autonomous electric vehicles which was launched in Fall 2021. Candidates must have, or expect to complete, a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field before August 15, 2023. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills, be collegial and collaborative, have a passion for teaching undergraduate engineering courses, and will establish and sustain a successful research program in Electrical Engineering that involves undergraduate students.

The College of Charleston is a comprehensive university with a rich liberal arts and sciences core curriculum, enrolling approximately 10,000 undergraduates and 500 graduate students. Its Engineering program is uniquely positioned to collaborate with nearby companies Boeing, Bosch, Cummins, Mercedes, Volvo, and several other high-tech engineering industries in Charleston, SC.
