Position Description:The Ingram School of Engineering of Texas State University has launched a new Mechanical Engineering program that incorporates Industry 4.0 tools and technologies throughout the curriculum to prepare students who can design and develop mechanical and thermal systems that are intelligent, interconnected, and integrated with the virtual world and emerging digital infrastructures. Currently, the program seeks to fill a tenure-track position in control systems and robotics at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, depending on qualifications, to begin Fall 2023. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an externally funded research program in their areas of expertise, exhibit a strong commitment to student-centered teaching and mentoring at undergraduate and graduate levels, participate in curriculum and program development, and perform university and professional service. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with Industry 4.0 tools and technologies.
