Overview

Responsible for providing design assistance for all Men's, Women's, and Children's performance and lifestyle product. Responsibilities include research of competitor, other retail private label market brands and related products, assisting in the development of product specifications, fit and research of team sports trends on a seasonal basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist in new product research and development projects
• Assist in design and development of creative, focused visual presentations
• Shop the market (trends/fashions)
• Discuss Key trends with NYC office
• Deliver trends to LSA team: Direct best fit trends to apply to LSA business
• Manage projects and adhere to a seasonal PD calendar
• Research directionally new on trends fabrics, prints, colors
• Reco & select fabrics/trims/color for new seasonal developments in scope cost targets
• Maintain fabric, color, trims library and approvals, communication to sourcing
• Demonstrate creative ability interpreting concept into prototype
• Accountable for ensuring design vision in collaboration w/cross functional teams
• Researching competitive set in Team Sports
• CAD drawings/revisions
• Prepare presentation boards
• Deliver key trends to brand concept meeting or potential customer
• Assist tech design with evaluating fit

Qualifications

• Education/Degrees:
  • BA/BS Degree required with 2-3 years experience or AA Fashion Degree with 4-5 years of equivalent experience
  • BFA, CAD experience desired
• Years of experience: 2+ years in the industry required
• General knowledge of sports and athletic apparel
• Excellent communication skills across all management levels
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Superior computer skills-Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design, Word, Excel
