Hays, in partnership with a prominent real estate development, management, and investment firm, excels in crafting a wide range of impactful properties. Their portfolio includes luxury buildings, expansive retail centers, and versatile mixed-use developments. Currently, they are actively searching for an Assistant Chief Engineer to operate a mixed-use Class A (office + retail) building located in West Palm Beach.

Your new role

• Conduct daily operations and maintenance for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Develop and maintain building-specific maintenance procedures.
• Respond immediately to emergency situations (e.g., fire, evacuation, equipment failure).
• Comply with applicable codes, regulations, and governmental agency directives.
• Keep the management team informed of current building operations by compiling and submitting monthly reports.

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum of 5 years of related trade experience in operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems within a commercial property setting.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot MEP system malfunctions before they lead to catastrophic failure.
• A State HVAC license is preferred but not required.
