Job Info

Requirements:

* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
* Tack weld experience or willingness to learn. Place and tack weld steel component parts to fabricate finished products including steel joists and girders on a fast-paced assembly line.
* Ability to use and read a tape measure or willingness to learn.

Physical Requirements
* The ability to stand continuously and walk for an entire shift.
* The ability to use hands and fingers to grasp, hold, push/pull, carry, flip and maneuver tools and raw material/product of various length and weight.
* Frequently reaching and holding arms and weight overhead.
* May require crouching, bending twisting, stooping, and squatting
* Climb or balance frequently.
* Capable of lifting 60 lbs or more repeatedly throughout the day.
* Close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus

Work Environment
* Open shop environment -- may be exposed to cold and hot workspaces.
* Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
* Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and welding flash.
* Noise in the work environment is generally very loud.

PPE Required
The following PPE will be required to be worn at all times:
* Hard hat
* Earplugs
* Safety glasses

* Gloves
* Steel-toed boots
* Metatarsal guards

*Additional PPE may be required as needed
