The Assembler assembles new or reworked product and packs the product in accordance with the work instructions and specification sheet. The position also assures quality controls are met during the assembly process.

Duties and Responsibilities

Product Assembly

• Identify and assemble various parts according to work instructions and according to established TAKT time
• Inspect parts and units according to specification in work instructions
• Use power or hand tools make necessary adjustments to meet quality standards
• Test the unit to ensure it meets the specification for correct assembly
• Pack the finished product for storage
• Assemble and pack accessory kits for designated products

Quality and 5S

• Report problems or abnormal issues found with unit, parts, or equipment
• Understand and follow the 5S principles

Safety

• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of safety policies, programs and procedures
• Use equipment & materials properly in a safety approved manner
• Follow housekeeping & maintenance rules
• Report safety hazards and unsafe conditions

Requirements

• High School Diploma (or G.E.D.)
• Minimum 1-year experience working in a production or manufacturing facility, hand assembling products
• Using operating power tools such as a screwdriver or drill
