RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a privately owned wholesale building supply distribution company is looking for an AR Specialist to join their team in New York, NY. They are located in beautiful offices in Hudson Square and offer great benefits. This is a newly created role with growth potential.Responsibilities:- Credit/Collections - Use of the A/R Collection queue to make set amount of collection calls to be assigned by A/R Manager, update notes and set follow up dates
- Billing/Customer issues - Provide customer/sales support as needed (POD's, invoice copies, billing questions), identify issues to be escalated to management
- Cash Application - Records all payments accurately and on a timely basis, follows up on any short payments/discrepancies
- Document Retention - Tax Exempts/W-9's/Credit Applications to be scanned and saved in appropriate area
- Assist Accounting Department with various projects as needed
- Detailed review and reconciliation of monthly A/R aging report
- Assist A/R Manager in credit application process
- Recording customer NSF Checks/Credit Card Chargebacks, provide documentation for recovery of funds
- Customer Maintenance - Update contact info, statement/invoice delivery methods
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 1-2 years of related experience
- Experience with an ERP System (Eclipse preferred)
- Proficient with Excel
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work with all levels of management and personnel
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
