Position Summary

The Application Support Analyst role deploys and supports software applications/solutions used at Teleflex in support of business requirements. Responsibilities include planning, installing, documenting, monitoring, upgrading and maintaining software applications/solutions in a highly integrated and dynamic environment.

Principal Responsibilities

• Analyze, document, interpret and communicate Software deployment activities and procedures to a wide variety of audiences as part of support business applications in a federally regulated environment, specifically FDA, SOX, GLBA, PCI-DSS 3, and HIPPA-HITEC.
• Install, configure, test, manage, maintain and upgrade software including database, operating systems, and applications independently and in teams
• Support applications in a multinational corporation and data center environment
• Perform upgrades on existing software to maintain supportability, usability, and effectiveness of applications
• Work with customers to evaluate, recommend, implement, test solutions for business needs
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and analyze incidents for integrated systems spanning multiple hosts, technologies and software applications in a matrixed management environment
• Document operations, installation, IQ, work instructions and troubleshooting
• Communicate technical problems, issues and alternatives to teams and management in ways that facilitate resolutions
• Resolve escalated Support Desk issues
• Drive tasks to completion with minimal supervision
• Implement DevSecOps methodology on a portfolio of software to increase ROI to the business

Education / Experience Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Science, Management Information Systems. Or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years experience in a related position.
• Experience with ITIL processes, software development, and documentation best practices.
• Experience in a regulated environment a plus.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required while working collaboratively in a team environment and interacting with customers, system owner, and vendors.
• Requires excellent documentation skills to produce clear, concise and understandable documents as required by regulatory requirements.
• Experience with networking technologies and concepts including load balancing, firewalls, routing and switching networking, single sign-on and active directory
• Experience with: Windows Server, Unix / Linux, Java / .Net. Weblogic, Apache/Tomcat and Microsoft II2 Web servers, WebSphere / Oracle Business Intelligence, Oracle Applications and Database, Citrix Desktop, SQL Server, Microsoft OS, System Administration
• Experience with Azure, DevSecOps, QAD, Delego, Vertex, Finance and Accounting systems, Oracle Agile PLM, Hyperion, and Lansa is a plus but not required.
• Requires broad-based knowledge on a variety of computer, network, security, programming/scripting technologies, along with the ability to rapidly learn new skills/technologies.
• Requires the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
