Well established and busy animal hospital looking for a detail oriented, self-starting, and responsible individual to join our kennel assistant team. Candidate must have a great attitude, be dependable, and have a high attention to detail. The right candidate is able to multitask, effectively communicate with others, is comfortable working alone and in groups, and is available to work some weekend, morning, and evening shifts. This is a physical position which requires multiple hours standing, lifting of items up to 50lbs, and use of stairs.

Kennel assistants are responsible for the day to day cleanliness of the hospital as well as assisting the doctors and technical staff with medical care of our patients. Excellent opportunity for those who are looking to start in the Veterinary industry.

We are a busy, fast paced hospital that prides itself on maintaining an excellent level of care, which includes the cleanliness of the hospital. This position is vital to supporting the flow and function of the day, making our Animal Care Technicians an integral part of our staff.

Animal Care Technician position is full time.

Wage: $16.75-$18.50/hr DOE

Daily tasks include:

-Restocking supplies

-Sweeping/mopping

-Garbage/recycling

-Dusting

-Laundry

-Surgical pack prep

-General patient care

-Assisting with patient intake and discharge

-Assisting doctors and technical staff with surgical prep, restraint, and other needs
