The Analyst, Vendor Compliance gathers data as it relates to customer compliance and on-time shipping. This includes obtaining all violations charges from customers and performing root cause analysis to determine categorization and corrective action. This role recommends solutions and action plans to improve the company's performance in critical areas and keep management updated on the day-to-day progress and status.
This role oversees the compilation and maintenance of databases,
follows-up with partners to ensure task accountability, and disputes various customer compliance violations directly with customer(s).

Duties and Responsibilities:

Compliance

  •  Review, maintain and revise all customer compliance manuals and routing
  • guides
  •  Review, interpret and comprehend critical components and
  • information
  •  Extract pertinent information and update as new routing guides
  • come out and as it relates to EDI-ASN, UCC128 labeling
  • requirements, shipping guidelines, and vendors performance
  •  Store and maintain manuals and guides appropriately
  •  Communicate customer/vendor requirements and updates to cross-functional
  • teams to ensure compliance with routing guides
  •  Track and follow-up with other cross-functional teams to comply with
  • routing guide's requirements to ensure that actions have been taken
  •  Communicate with management on a regular basis regarding current
  • state of compliance by customer
  •  Partner with Order Management to ensure compliance with requirements

Data Analysis

  •  Track all divisional issues raised with customer manuals and report to Senior Management; provide solutions and suggest improvements; report on any challenges
  •  Perform root cause analysis and provide recommendation of process improvements for assigned accounts
  •  Partner with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, Sales, National Operations, Finance, etc.) to disseminate data, identify issues and provide solutions
  •  Follow-up with business divisions within the company on plans of action status to improve operations and to reduce penalties from customers
  •  Partner with Supervisor to provide data and assist in analysis for reporting on non-compliance violations and root cause
  •  Research and dispute non-compliance violations with customers regarding routing guide requirements that involve but are not limited to on-time delivery, fill rate, shipping, appointing, etc.

Customer Service

  •  Manage customer portals and keep abreast of changes or additions to customer programs through the portal
  •  Travel to customers' sites (including but not limited to Amazon, Office Depot and Staples) to establish relationships/partnerships to gain understanding of customer requirements¸ operations and networks
  •  Travel to Brother facilities in TN, CA or VA, for meetings and presentations

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics' or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years Supply Chain Logistics including comprehending supply chain metrics and preparation of data summarization and analytics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Advanced
  • Proficient in SAP Logistics module
  • Superb problem solving skills and critical thinking with strong attention to detail and follow-up
  • Organization, prioritization and multitasking capabilities and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively explain and interpret organization policies and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and be self motivated, as well as within a team environment
