Job Description
The Junior-Level Intelligence Analyst continuously monitors reporting and threat streams throughout a designated Area of Responsibility to produce predictive and current finished intelligence products and coordinate all analytical products for dissemination. The Junior-Level Intelligence Analyst produces assessments, reports, briefings, threat analyses, and special studies. The Junior-Level Intelligence Analyst is responsible for providing force disposition and tracking, maintaining, and updating common battle space awareness and the common intelligence picture. The Junior-Level Intelligence Analyst focuses expertise on a specific Area of Responsibility ensuring advantageous support to collection efforts and resource utilization in the area. The Junior-Level Intelligence Analyst utilizes the full range of intelligence community resources and products to identify exploitable vulnerabilities to achieve objectives. The Junior-Level Intelligence Analyst maintains a proficient and dynamic knowledge base of essential intelligence data to recognize gaps, generate calculated assessments and fulfill PIRs (Priority Intelligence Requirements).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive production requirements leveraging the full spectrum of intelligence disciplines across the DoD IC
  • Assist with identifying intelligence gaps, specify collection requirements to fill gaps, evaluate intelligence collected in response to requirements
  • Collect, analyze, interpret, evaluate, and integrate data from multiple sources in assessing relevance and significance of AOR developments
  • Develop and maintain functional relationships with intelligence counterparts throughout the organization and other agencies
  • Define critical intelligence topics, initiate comprehensive or unique research efforts, and analyze intelligence information to assess developments, trends, and threat implications to Marine Corps operations in a designated AOR
  • Interpret policy and exercise initiative and resourcefulness in transcending traditional methods or research trends and patterns to develop new methods, criteria, or proposed input to policy development
  • Provide written and graphic threat analysis, special studies, and briefings responsive to the needs of IEMO leadership
  • Plan, coordinate, and synthesize research from other analysts to prepare all-source intelligence products and respond to non-routine problems
  • Provide leadership with analytical findings on data/information gathered. Prepare, present, and justify/defend positions on information papers and briefings
  • Maintain liaison with counterparts in other government agencies and ensure coordination with other analysts, as well as other Intelligence commands and agencies
Required Qualifications
  • Possess a Current TS/SCI
  • 2+ years' experience as an all-source intelligence analyst or fusion analyst
  • One years' experience in intelligence production at strategic and operational levels
  • Experience in collection management or collection requirements management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
