AlertMD, an EverCommerce company, is looking for a great software developer to join our team in Dublin, Ohio or remotely.Daily responsibilities will include product input, architecture, development, and working closely with the Customer Support, Product and QA teams to deliver outstanding software.If you are inspired and passionate about making a huge impact in healthcare and at a growing company, we would love to talk!

AlertMD is an all-in-one mobile platform that delivers increased professional fee billings, increased patient visits and faster revenue cycle management through solutions for the front office, care coordination/communication, and the back office. Our platform works with the EHRs of hospitals and physician practices to present a single and simplified interface for healthcare providers. Where:

We are open to remote candidates within the United States or candidates desiring to work in the office in Dublin, OH of our sister company, Updox.

Must Haves:

  • 5+ years of software development experience in a web-based environment
  • 2+ years of experience in NodeJS or similar back-end platform
  • 2+ years of experience in React or similar framework (e.g. Vue, Preact)
  • Working knowledge of
    • Single page applications and architecture
    • Flexbox and other layout patterns
    • HTTP and RESTful services
    • Relational-database design and querying
    • Linux based environments and tooling
  • Ability and interest to learn both the tech and the product quickly
  • Comfortable working at a small dynamic company
  • Ability to translate business goals into own work assignments
  • Encourages and accepts personal feedback
  • Can use judgment to solve problems where protocol might not exist
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Nice to Haves:
  • Background in healthcare and/or healthcare software solutions
  • Familiarity with HL7 and other healthcare software messaging protocols
  • Working knowledge of
    • Webpack and Babel
    • Redis, MariaDB/MySQL and/or Elasticsearch
    • PHP and frameworks such as Laravel/CakePHP
    • Docker and/or Kubernetes
    • DevOps and deployment best practices
  • Commitment to Test-driven Development, continuous integration, and test automation
  • Experience with data warehousing, data pipelines and business intelligence platforms
  • Desire to debate and explore new technologies

Responsibilities:
  • Help shape the applications, UI, and systems that make health care providers more efficient
  • Work with team members to translate advanced business requirements into technical architectural design and implementation
  • Implement business logic and feature in our stack, ranging from in our NodeJS based back-end microservices, the data pipelines that power them, to the web and mobile user interfaces that present all of it
  • Work with the Customer Support, Product and QA Teams to deliver customer value with quality and agility
