Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

Hybrid Workplace Strategy: 1-2 days in office per week

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Agile Product Owner in an individual contributor role with a strong background in healthcare and data platforms to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing and launching successful products in the healthcare industry, with a deep understanding of data analytics and platform services.

How you will make an impact:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, data governance, business and IT security to gather and evaluate new product ideas in the healthcare data platform domain.
  • Serve as a liaison to ensure seamless integration of Business requirements with product development.
  • Refine ideas for existing products and significant enhancements to existing healthcare data platform solutions.
  • Understand and define customer needs and transform them into workable capabilities to implement them in the new project while following Agile SDLC framework and Healthcare best practices.
  • Create detailed product requirements that outline product scope, features, functionality, and desired outputs.
  • Lead and coordinate with Product, Engineering and Business ensuring that projects remain on time and within budget.
  • Translate features into user stories within a teams backlog and managing ranking and prioritizing this backlog so that it is reflective of stakeholder requirements and priorities.
  • Understands how to write user stories and their acceptance criteria.
  • Translates the product backlog into user stories.
Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 3 years experience with writing business/functional requirements and experience implementing Agile methodologies; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred skills, capabilities, and experiences:
  • Master's degree in a related field or an MBA.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to convert complex concepts into actionable product plans.
  • Exceptional leadership qualities with experience leading product development teams.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies in healthcare data analytics.
  • Experience in Agile product development methodologies.
  • Previous experience working with healthcare data, compliance and regulatory standards.
  • SAFe or Agile Scrum Certifications Product Certifications
