Job Description:

The Regional Admissions Officer II is responsible for the territory management of an assigned geographic area, representing the University of Florida at high school visits and regional college fairs, advising and creating positive relationships with prospective students, their parents and high school counselors regarding admission requirements and assisting with the freshman application review. The selected candidate must work regionally from a home office in the Chicago, Illinois area. Other duties include traveling to assigned educational institutions within the Illinois region, assisting with freshman holistic review, and responding to inquiries by phone, email and virtual platforms.

Responsible for student engagement and recruitment in the assigned territory of the Chicago, Illinois area. Visit local high schools and state colleges and participate in local fairs to encourage student enrollment through one of UF's many paths for admission - UF residential, UF Online, Innovation Academy, or PaCE. Responsible for hosting information sessions virtually and in person to provide details about the opportunities to enroll at UF through one of its pathways. The position will interact with local high school counselors and state college advisors to describe the opportunities available to prospective students. The position will meet with prospective students, parents, and school counselors to answer questions about UF. Operates a vehicle to travel in support of recruitment. Plans and schedules yield events and other recruitment activities that provide service to the university's constituents within the assigned region.

Evaluates self-reported academic record, standardized test scores, student resumes and personal statements/essays for the purpose of assessing admissibility to a selective university.

Responds to general inquiries related to UF Admission policies and processes via phone, email, virtually, and in person.

Identifies key markets and activities in assigned region by compiling data and reports, school visit data and other resources to assess and track a territory management plan to support university enrollment initiatives. Advises the Assistant Director of Admissions on the progress of ongoing responsibilities by maintaining accurate records of student and high school contacts and prepares weekly reports concerning recruitment and admission activities.

Participates in professional development training to maintain a high level of professional competence and conducts administrative duties necessary for attachment to the campus office. Performs other duties as assigned.

Expected Salary:

$60,000 annually

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.

Valid Drivers License is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work and communicate across a variety of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.

Ability to exercise good judgment and work with minimal supervision.

Demonstrated abilities in leadership, problem solving and attention to detail.

Strong organizational and time management skills.
