GeneralFunction:
Providecurrent and prospective student services including but not limited toprocessing incoming college transcripts, maintaining integrity of transfer orre-admitted student records, completing transcript evaluations, certifyingeligibility for graduation, and providing customer service 

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate'sdegree earned from a regionally accredited institution and one year ofexperience in a general office setting.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor'sdegree earned from a regionally accredited institution and one year or more ofexperience within an Admissions and Records Office using BANNER software

Major Dutiesand Responsibilities:
*           Process and evaluate collegetranscripts of transfer and readmitted students, determines what credit shouldbe given for courses taken at other institutions; build catalog for newinstitutions or update existing institutions as necessary, including schoolaccreditation information, grade tables, and courses; Manage TransferEvaluation System; Assist students with pre-requisite errors duringregistration
*           Post alternative sources of credit(CLEP, Advanced Placement, ACT Advanced Standing, International Baccalaureate,Challenge Exams, etc.); input student credit from Prior Learning Assessment(PLA) sources and coordinate with Academic Affairs to maximize PLAopportunities for students; apply all LPN-RN transitional credit
*           Process all admissions requirementsdocuments, including High School Transcripts, GED/ HiSet, Proof of Citizenship,Immunizations, and Selective Service paperwork, test scores, and dynamic forms.Scan and Index the submitted documents. Update student records as appropriate.Communicates with High School Counselors, Students, and Motlow personnelregarding student files. Process online applications for admissions.
*           Train front line staff at othercampus locations to accurately enter applications and process student paperworkas needed.  Assist with college-wideevents, such as Registration, Graduation, Orientation, Open House.
*           Coordinate with Transient students(during summer term only) to ensure they have met all appropriatepre-requisites; manually register students when necessary
*           Evaluate and articulate credit forReverse Transfer students
*           Monitor probation/ suspension listsfor accuracy; assist with orientation, registration, advisement, and graduationevents
*           Enter grades and test scores intodatabase; update student files as notified by the Financial Aid Office
*           Interact with MSCC departments andother college and university records offices to determine course equivalenciesand pre-requisites.
*           Other duties as assigned

Knowledge,Skills and Abilities:
*           Knowledge of confidentiality statutesand policies as they apply to FERPA and assigned programs
*           Maintains current knowledge of Motlowcatalog, Admissions policy, and programs of study to ensure accurate andeffective assistance to current and prospective students.
*           Strong interpersonal skills and theability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals andconstituencies in a diverse community
*           Communicate effectively, both inwriting and verbally, with students, parents, high school counselors, fellowemployees, college administrators, and other stakeholders
*           Strong organizational skills andcomputer skills to include database management, word processing, creatingspreadsheets, e-mail, and the internet
