The work done by this position supports Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Athletic Training Licensing in the State of Nebraska.

Hiring Rate: $16.338 per hour. Effective July 1st, 2023, wage will increase to $17.155

Work Schedule: 8 am to 5 pm, Monday - Friday. Hybrid Remote work may be available subject to approval
Examples of Work
This position currently reviews and processes applications relating to Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, and Athletic Training licenses in accordance with policies and regulations.

This position reviews transcripts, examination scores, and other required documents for initial licensure. Follows appropriate administrative procedures for the issuance, renewal, audit, reinstatement, and inactivation of these credentials. Enters and updates licensing and renewal data into the License Information System (LIS) database. Handles routine phone calls, correspondence, maintains files, operates copiers and fax machine.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: Coursework/training or experience related to research, presentation, or publication in an area related to the programs or functions of the employing agency; business administration; accounting; customer service; and/ or technical support work, including use of computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.

PREFERRED: Within the last 1-3 years-
- Computer experience including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Access or other similar software.
- Experience handling phone calls and in-person customer service related to status of applications and/or required documentation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The successful candidate will be customer focused, detail oriented, have a high personal standard of integrity, and share in the Department's mission.

- Strong time management, problem solving, and communication skills are essential for this position. Must have effective communication skills and have the ability to accurately explain state statutes and regulations and application requirements to both internal and external customers.
- Ability to read legal documents and understand statutes and regulations. Must demonstrate ability to seek direction as needed.
- Ability to review applications/documents in accordance with statutes/regulations/guidelines.
- Experience organizing, tracking, updating, and timely filing/retrieval of electronic and manual records/files.
- Experience working with confidential documents and HIPAA compliance.
