Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to analyze operating budgets, reports, and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to reconcile accounts and set up new budgets, track budgets from one year to the next.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with various constituent groups such as administrative staff, accounting and budgeting staff, and management staff.
  • Ability to compile various reports and surveys.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work as a team member and interact with others in a courteous manner, using good judgement and initiative.
  • Skill in basic accounting and budgeting to ensure accurate details for PCRs, budgets, reports, and correspondence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business related field.
  • Knowledge of university and divisional policies, as they pertain to accounting and human resources.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP applications.

Job Description:

IT Business Operations is seeking a competent and motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills. This position will be responsible for budget support and coordination of financial related matters for the Division of Information Technology (DOIT).

Job Duties:

The primary responsibility of this position is to monitor and coordinate budget related matters for the Division of Information Technology.

  • Prepares and/or audits Personnel Change Requests (PCR) for compliance with established policy and procedures within the IT Division.
  • Provides technical support regarding budgets and budgetary actions by preparing regular and non-scheduled reports and analyses.
  • Monitors and reconciles balances in operating accounts.
  • Monitors and reconciles PCard expenses.
  • Analyzes budgets, encumbrances, and expenditures. Monitors accounts for discrepancies.
  • Prepares budget transfers and tracks budget allocations across the Division for various revenue sources.
  • Serves as knowledge base for SAP FI, HR, and FM transactions across the Division.
  • Processes invoices and deposits.
  • Processes electronic Inter-Departmental Transfers (eIDT).
  • Assists in the budget development process.
  • Performs special projects and other budget specialist duties as assigned.
