The Associate is a crucial member of our team and provides a positive experience for our customers. The associate delivers thoughtful and engaging customer service, enjoys being part of team, supports the overall sales goals and takes pride in maintaining a well-merchandised, organized and clean store. The Associate demonstrates the Goodwill mission daily and works both independently and as a member of a team, to positively impact the lives of others.
Provides an exceptional customer experience by ensuring the customer is always the priority. Responsible for daily opening and closing procedures which may include cash control, locking and securing the site at the end of the day. Supports and embodies a positive store culture of Respect, Integrity, Service, & Excellence. Demonstrates knowledge of store products to build sales. Accurately performs cashier duties - handling cash, checks and credit card transactions. Supports opening and closing store activities, when needed. Receives and accurately records donations using technology. Sorts, organizes and properly stores donations according to site guidelines. Maintains all organizational and cleanliness standards for the sales floor and participates in the maintenance/cleanliness of the entire store. Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality. Required Qualifications
At least 18 years of age. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to read, speak and write Basic English. Ability to operate cash register and other technology necessary to complete the activities assigned. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Ability to share Goodwill's purpose with the public and ask for monetary donations and ask customer and donor information. Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting preferred
