Position: Manager of Accounting

Department: Finance
Purpose: The Manager of Accounting is a key member of the NACPG Finance team that directs and supports financial reporting activities for over twenty locations with combined revenues near $1.0 billion. This position is liaison to GL oversight for the entire division, interacting with business partners across the entire organization. The ideal candidate will be someone with a keen interest in process improvement, the ability to learn financial systems and a desire for upward mobility.

Primary Responsibilities
*Perform monthly journal entries, ledger investigation and reconciliations for all GL accounts
*Manage month-end close for all SG&A departments and ensure expenses are accurately stated and the close process is performed in an accurate, timely manner
*Develop and carry out cost allocations across the company and business units
*Oversee and assist locations with intercompany reconciliation and balancing
*Monitor and record customer and vendor rebates for the business unit
*Act as primary liaison with external auditors for annual audit to manage the process and flow of information
*Design and monitor effective internal controls. Partner with internal or external customers to ensure controls are deployed accurately
*Create and publish monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting
*Develop tools to assist management with monitoring emerging business needs
*Prepare ad hoc analyses as needed to support the management team

Qualifications

Candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 6 years of experience
*Strong analytical ability to identify, define and facilitate the implementation of new reporting requirements
*Proficient with MS Office and advanced knowledge with Excel
*Experience with SAP, Great Plain and Hyperion a plus
*Experience working in multiple accounting systems and multi-plant locations a plus
