Lasko Products, an industry leader of home environment products for over 100 years, is seeking an Accounting Manager for our West Chester, PA headquarters.

The Accounting Manager will oversee and manage the general accounting functions and have two to three direct reports. This position will report to the Controller.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the general accounting department
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
• Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit
• Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
• Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
• Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent accounting experience, CPA preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience working in corporate accounting, with increasing levels of responsibility
• Extensive knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.
• Ability to display profit orientation and business results focus. Demonstrates business partnering ability and focus on business results.
• Ability to communicate in non-technical terms and present analysis in an understandable and concise manner.
• Experience with QAD is helpful
• Experience in Consolidation Accounting or External Reporting helpful
• Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines

Geographic Reach

Based in the greater Philadelphia, PA area, Lasko Products operates in locations throughout the US and Canada. The company also sources select products internationally from China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, and India. Lasko operates distribution centers in all manufacturing locations plus Nevada and Ohio.
