Job Summary

Oldcastle Lawn and Garden is looking for a hands-on 2nd Shift Production Supervisor with an entrepreneurial spirit to oversee all aspects of a fast-paced lawn & garden products manufacturing facility. The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor will direct all night shift activities including bulk production, bag production, warehouse/forklift and maintenance.

• Manage and direct the work of the night shift crew.
• Ensure the daily work plan is being completed each night while following all company policies.
• Has the authority to stop work due to safety issues and redirect employees as needed due to unforeseen situations such as equipment breakdowns or unsafe conditions.
• Communicate nightly to the department managers, documenting what work was completed and what needs to be finished on 1st shift.
• Review all production reports from 2nd shift to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain night shift production line housekeeping and conduct monthly housekeeping audits.
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.

Requirements

• 2 plus years manufacturing experience.
• Must have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
• Must have intermediate to advanced MS Office skills

Preferences

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience in crushed stone and lime preferred
