The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing duties to repair and maintain machinery, equipment, building and facilities requiring a broad knowledge of maintenance skills including mechanical repair, plumbing, welding, carpentry, fabrication and sheet metal duct work.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Diagnose machine malfunctions and operating difficulties. Make necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Rebuild machines and overhaul troublesome components to include: dismantling, inspecting, or replacing of purchased parts.
  • Perform skilled operations such as fitting and aligning bearings, spindles, and shafts.
  • Install, repair, rebuild, maintain and relocate existing machines and equipment skills to include: dismantling, erection, leveling, fitting and aligning operations.
  • Perform maintenance on the buildings, facilities, and the grounds, including lawn mowing and snow removal.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment including heating, ventilating, and air conditioning units.
  • Research and purchase replacement parts and equipment services.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent
  • Requires knowledge of mechanical repairs, plumbing, hydraulics and carpentry.
  • At least 2 years of maintenance mechanic experience.
  • Requires ability to use an electrical measuring multimeter. Must be able demonstrate the ability to properly test for power, and check continuity of electrical circuits for machine operations, maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Must be trained in NFPA 70E awareness and demonstrate ability to follow proper electrical work procedures and wear proper arc flash clothing.
  • Need to be available to work 2nd shift.
The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governingagency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
