The Lincoln Electric Curriculum Internship will provide meaningful experiences that will enhance a student's education. The Intern will assist in various areas of the Education Department to gain an understanding of functional responsibilities.

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES):

  • Organizes curriculum assets including illustrations, photos, videos, PowerPoint and document files.
  • Maps and tracks all curriculum assets and maintains content/asset management software and/or spreadsheet.
  • Assists in the creation of new curriculum assets or welding certifications.
  • Ensures that design standards and learning principles are consistent with high quality learning content.
  • Analyzes content and intended audience to identify appropriate instructional strategies.
  • Creates and maintains online and printed education materials.
  • Assists with maintaining, improving and/or modifying current educational content.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects in support of the Company's 2025 Strategy.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
  • Rising senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Journalism or a related field.
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Experience or knowledge of the Addie Method of curriculum development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Strong attention to detail and strong analytical skills required
  • Ability to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis
  • Ability to pass standard pre-employment testing which includes a background screen pre-employment physical exam, and a drug test

Professional Development: As the Welding Experts, we couldn't let our Co-ops and Interns leave without teaching them to strike an arc! All Co-ops and Interns participate in a week-long course in our world-renowned Welding Technology Center. Co-ops and Interns are invited to "Lunch and Learn" on a weekly basis with leaders from departments throughout the company. These sessions are designed to introduce Co-ops and Interns to departments outside of their own, and provide exposure of how each department functions as part of the company.

At the conclusion of the term, Co-ops and Interns take the spotlight to present on their project work in front of peers, supervisors, and company leadership - even the CEO!
